Just because summer is ending doesn’t mean it’s time to put an end to those daily workouts; something that Whitney Port is adhering to anyway!
Whitney and boyfriend Tim Rosenman took part in a spin class at YAS Fitness Center in Venice, California, on Monday, September 2. The couple then stopped for a bite to eat at nearby cafe, Sauce On Hampton.
Tim and Whitney have theCity to thank for their meeting; Tim was an Associate Producer on the show. After theCity finished up in 2010, Whitney started dating fellow reality star Ben Nemtin, but split after about 18 months together. Tim and Whitney had kept in touch after the show ended, and according to a source at the time, “have always had crushes on each other. Now they are full-blown together”
The source continued, “They have mutual friends from New York and L.A.. His sister works in fashion, too. They run in a similar crowd and seem to be really happy.”
Whitney Port has confirmed that she no longer sees or speaks to the majority of her former co-stars from theHills or theCity, telling People magazine “I think we all kind of went our separate ways once the show ended.”
Whitney attended the opening of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hillsstar Kyle Richards’ boutique Kyle by Alene Too in Beverly Hills on Thursday, October 11, where some of her Whitney Eve designs are being sold.
At the launch she spoke to People, further explaining how the cast all moved on. “I’m fine with it, like I’m at peace with it. With me, I never feuded with anyone, and nothing ever ended badly, so it just naturally happened that [I lost touch with people].”
Whitney also shared that unlikeLauren, who she does run in to from time to time, she wouldn’t rule out a return to reality tv. Whitney explains, “I think I would do something fashion-related for sure. But I don’t ever see myself doing something as intimate as what I did.”
Perhaps the fact that Whitney met boyfriend Tim Rosenman behind the scenes on theCity, enables her to see reality tv as a happy thing. When asked how she feels about having a relationship out of the spotlight, as opposed to her previous ones with Ben Nemtin and Jay Lyon, Whitney says “It’s very refreshing. It’s nice.”
Like her good friend Lauren Conrad, Whitney Portis one of the celebs we’ve seen less of this year. In early 2011, Whitney still had a profile on the red carpet, most often seen on the arm of her ex-boyfriend Ben Nemtin. But since the couple’s break-up, all we can assume is that Whitney’s had a period of social hibernation.
Lauren seems firmly back on the social scene though, so let’s hope this appearance of Whitney’s last week is a return too. Whitney attended the The RealReal/Chrysalis Charity Benefit on Thursday night, December 15, held at Pici Enoteca in Beverly Hills. The event was curated by 90210 star Shenae Grimes, who teamed up with fashion website RealReal to raise money for Chrysalis, “a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless and low-income individuals find and retain employment.”
Whitney went for a winter glam look for the charity event, wearing a snuggly woollen copper knit, metallic tweed trousers and strappy heels. She accessorized with a couple of bangles and a statement necklace, wearing her hair up in a high ponytail.
Hostess Shenae wore a long black long sleeve maxi dress, with lace detail. She wore her hair in a half-up, half-down style and kept her make-up on the natural side.
Whitney Port was spotted holding hands with a new suitor at the Los Angeles premiere of The Change-Up on Monday, August 1. This is the first time Whitney has been seen with a new man since her split from Ben Nemtin.
While at the premiere, Whitney commented on Kristin Cavallari’s recent break-up from Jay Cutler, “Obviously I’m sad for anyone who goes through a break-up.” When one cheeky reporter asked if Whitney saw wedding bells on her horizon, she replied, “I don’t even know, that’s not even on my radar!”
Whitney’s classic faces are on our radar, though. Check out the one above. This must be the “it’s cold outside” face.
Whitney Port posed for pictures outside RTE TV Studios in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday, July 2. Whitney playfully snapped pictures of the paparazzi snapping pictures of her.
During her working vacation in Ireland earlier this month Whitney stopped by the Kildare Village to formally unveil and sign her new tote bag that she especially designed for Barretstown children’s camp. During the signing she had time to talk about her love life and her past dalliance with reality shows. Whitney said her split from Ben Nemtin has invigorated her. “I am single, recently single. I’m up for anything, I’m not going to say no,” she said. Well it’s better than moping around!
Whitney admitted that her personal life suffered when she was filming theHills and theCity, saying, “It was very difficult. I never showed my personal life on The Hills because I was so scared of the cameras and then the producers approached me about doing The City, I realized I would have to kind of make that sacrifice if I wanted to do it. I would have to be full on.”
Dating is a scary prospect for anyone, let alone having television cameras capture your every date. “My first date with my second boyfriend ever was on camera. It was so intimidating, as if the first date wasn’t scary enough, to have three cameraman and a whole van load of people watching you. I actually met him when I was filming a girls’ night out. He was performing in a club and they caught us meeting on camera and I said, ‘actually I do have feelings for you but my life comes with cameras right now, are you cool with this?”
Being a reality star comes with its hang ups, namely questioning the motives of new boyfriends as Whitney experienced withJay Lyon. Whitney continued, “And he was a musician at the time and I think that he was cool with it, who knows his motives? I don’t know now. I think he loved it. You have to be really comfortable with yourself and want that publicity to do it.”
Luckily for Whitney, she has an exciting life to distract her from her breakup. Last month, Whitney took photos at the Kari Feinstein MTV Movie Awards Style Lounge in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 2. Free swag makes everything better.
See, single Laurendoes go out. Fresh off of news of her breakup from Kyle Howard, Lauren Conrad was back on the Hollywood scene at Beverly Hills nightclub in West Hollywood, last night, Thursday, June 30. The club is always the way to cure a broken heart. A wise woman once said, “up in the club, just broke up, doing my own little thing”.
But Lauren had a stumble as she exited the club and had to lean on a staff member to keep her balance. At least she didn’t go all the way down. Her slip gave us a chance to get a close up of her 4th of July nail polish.
The other newly single former reality star, Whitney Port, took her talents independence to London where she was spotted outside E & O restaurant, Thursday, June 30. Whitney may not have Ben on her arm anymore, but not much else has changed. She still has her unique fashion sense. Whitney wore jailbird pants, a tan top and a burnt orange sweater.
And she still has her faces. Check inside for more classic Whitney faces.
Sure we liked Ben Nemtin. He seemed like a cool guy and all. But since he’s been gone, Whitney can breathe for the first time. It seems like Whitney is enjoying the LA nightlife a little more.
Thursday, June 16, Whitney dropped by the Beverly Nightclub in West Hollywood. Whitney wore an all black outfit consisting of a black dress, black booties, and black jacket. You can tell from the slightly glazed over look that Whitney had a good time.
A solo Whitney Port attended the National Tea Day in New York City, Friday, June 10. Wearing a white dress, black shoes, and a top knot, Whitney drank Snapple and posed for cameras.
After the night out, Whitney tweeted, “Had so much fun hanging out w/ all of the ppl coming out for Nat Iced Tea Day w/ @snapple ! #partner.”
Whitney showed off her new red locks, and told the crowd at the event, “My colorist Johnny Ramirez and I have been having a lot of fun with my hair lately experimenting with different shades of red,” she says. “A few months ago, we went with a bright red which then gradually washed out to a strawberry blonde, and now I’ve gone sun kissed apricot.”
Hills2City was first to report that Whitney and Ben split and yesterday, she confirmed the news to In Touch Weekly. After a year together, Whitney revealed, “I don’t have a boyfriend,” when asked about Ben at the event.
“It’s definitely different, but I’m enjoying my time focusing on work and keeping busy,” she explained.
First there were the photos of Whitney out with a random Joe at Beacher’s Madhouse this week. Although Whitney was walking arm in arm with this young chap, we brushed it off thinking perhaps it was just a friend, maybe even a relative.
Then, a very astute Hills2City reader pointed out that Whitney is no longer following Ben Nemtin on twitter. If that’s not a confirmation that they’re broken up, we don’t know what is.
Rule 101 of dating is following me on twitter and friend me on facebook, right?
Whitney’s fans have also started noticing the conspicuous absence of Ben from Whitney’s public life. One fan commented on a recent Whitney Port blog post asking if Whitney and Ben were still together because she hasn’t posted on him in some time.
We’re just waiting on the official confirmation. We’ll take an official denial, too. Whichever comes first.
Whitney Porthit the town Wednesday, June 1 with someone who news outlets are calling a mystery man, and we’ll call not-her-boyfriend,Ben Nemtin.
Whitney and her interestingly dressed male friend arrived atDavid Arquette’sBeacher’s Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood arm in arm. That has to be this duos connection- their ecclectic taste in clothes.
Whitney wore a nude baby doll shift dress with a black blazer. Ben’s substitute wore salmon colored jeans, a white shirt and an LA hat.
Earlier in the day, Whitney prepped for her Beacher’s outting at a nail salon. The reality star carried a coffee drink in Beverly Hills, Wednesday, June 1.
Wearing a trendy black maxi dress, with a jean jacket and panama hat, Whitney was uncharacteristically normally dressed.
