Heidi’s Redemption

It’s no secret that Heidi Montag let her reality TV fame go to her head.  Beginning with her falling-out with former BFF Lauren Conrad over her relationship with Spencer Pratt and ending with her 10 plastic surgeries in one day, Heidi changed dramatically from the girl from small-town Colorado we first met during theHills Season One.

Mrs Pratt has become more humble in the past year or so however, admitting to Access Hollywood recently the amount of money she’d blown from her days on theHills.  Heidi said, “I’ve never really counted, so I’m not sure how much we lost. Over a million or so.”

Heidi went on to say of herself and Spencer, “We’re very grounded and humbled and money and fame and the fast life – you don’t really know how you’re going to react to it. I certainly never thought I would become the person that I was.  I only miss the money.  If we would have saved our money, it would have been better.”

On their fall from grace, and life post-reality fame, Heidi says “We both just kind of stepped back and have been able to reflect on who we’ve been, where we want to go and who want to be and what we want in our lives.  And it wasn’t the path we were going down. So we just kind of changed back to who we originally were.”

No doubt the $25,000 Heidi made from appearing at Crazy Horse III’s third birthday party in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 20, will help she and Spencer toward financial independence again.  Heidi looked slightly uncomfortable on the red carpet for the event, wearing a sheer bodysuit and black leather hotpants, but with the personal appearances few and far between these days, we assume she has to make the best of what comes along.
