Lauren’s Old Hollywood Glamour

Lauren Conrad rocked an elegant look to host the Susan G Komen Second Annual Designs For The Cure gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 13.

As previously reported by Hills2City, Lauren not only took on hosting duties for the night, but also dressed the models in designs from her label Paper Crown. Lauren wore a white strapless bustier and a black maxi skirt, accessorizing with a simple silver bangle and a diamonte clip in her hair.

For her hair and makeup, Lauren evoked an Old Hollywood look by wearing her hair in glamorous waves and with a splash of bright red lipstick.

Last week Lauren spoke with People magazine about some of her past beauty blunders, leaving us with the feeling that this Young Hollywood glamour girl is still one of us at heart.  Lauren shared, “One of the worst ones was roll-on body glitter.  ‘You would do it on your arms and on your cheeks. I remember doing it before soccer matches, which was really weird.”

She also revealed that she used to match her scrunchies with her bicycle shorts and once dyed her hair fire engine red: “I looked like Ronald McDonald.”

Lauren’s obviously learned from those days, sharing that her beauty advice to fans is to, “Play up your positives and the features you love about yourself.”
