After much speculation on the fate of Two and a Half Men, the success of the show will rest squarely on the shoulders of one Ashton Kutcher.
Multiple outlets are reporting that the deal between Ashton Kutcher is official. TMZ is reporting that CBS head man Les Moonves signed off on the deal after Ashton met with the show’s creator/writer Chuck Lorre and got along famously. This was important to CBS since Chuck and Charlie Sheen butted heads.
Ashton will make less than Charlie. Charlie made a base salary of $1.25 million an episode, nearly $2 million with profit sharing. Ashton will make more than half of Charlie’s base pay, $625,000, but less than $800,000. Guess he has to earn his keep.
The rest of the cast is coming back to join Ashton, including Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones, the one and a half men. Thankfully, CBS didn’t bring Ashton on to play Charlie Harper. They have created a new character who will come to the Malibu house.
