Whitters In a Case of Mistaken Identity

There are some things about the lovely ladies of theHills and theCity that make me green with envy. One of those things, (probably the most prominent) is their ability to swan around with lustworthy handbags, seemingly a different one for everyday of the week. However, when Whitney Port stepped out in west Hollywood this week, her taupe colored 2.55 Chanel arm candy, was the only jealousy inducing aspect of her outfit choice.
According to her recent interview in OK! magazine, Whitney is often mistaken for other well known ice blondes, including Ivanka Trump and Katherine Heigl. I can see the resemblance, they are all gorgeous and share a propensity for dewy skin and glossy hair. But all Whitney’s gorgeousness can’t save her from these unflattering garms.
I get it, it’s comfy. At least the jeans are ripped, and it’s not as though Whitney looks terrible, (the girl could probably pull off a paper bag) but that zip up brown ruffle thing is just appalling. I love the shades and I’d kill for that watch, but it’s only her accessories that save her . I think the girl is lovely, but if you’re going to market yourself as a fashion designer, please dress the part Whitters! I know you have it in you.

Whit is lovely, but she has bad taste. It’s like when she dresses bad, it’s really bad. And that seems more often the case than not. When I see Lauren or Olivia I always see something that is inspiring. They even do casual well.
I think it’s getting like the Hills, where people were finding out things through the internet, making it hard to put together episodes because we see their real lives. So now we see what Whit really wears, and it becomes more unbelivable that she’s this fashion icon, designer phenom (don’t like her designs), stylist to celebrities or photoshoots, throwing together a runway show in a week?
MTV gave her the design deal. But she seems lost when asked about it. “Well, my inspiration was spring, you know, because there’s flowers and everythings fresh”
And she never went to a design school. She graduated majoring in Gender Studies. She got a job in the Teen Vogue closet through a family friend. She was in the right place at the right time.
