Justin is no Nick Zano
Kristin sat down for an interview with MTV where she talks about all things theHills. Among them, of course, is Justin Bobby and her relationship or non-relationship, with him.
Whatever the situation may be, Kristin says she is not dating him. In fact, she scoffs at the mere suggestion that she’s hooking up with, as has been circulating the rumor mill. She has no sights set on him.
And when asked about Brody Jenner, Kristin breaks out into a full on laugh before saying “no”. She dated him, like, four years ago, and they’ve buried all those lovey dovey feelings and turned them into familial ones- he’s like a brother. As for Spencer, he’s married, duh! (And gross! our thoughts, not hers, at least as articulated by her in this interview).
None of these guys are, say, Nick Zano, and worth pulling Kristin out of her single lifestyle. After all, it was speculated that the reason Kristin broke up with Nick was to go back to being young, fun, and free.
It’s actually surprising that Kristin even knew who these Hills characters were, because she didn’t keep up with the show at all prior to appearing on it. The bartender from last season who we saw her chatting with at Frankie’s taco birthday, she called what’s her name.
Despite not being a Hills watcher before, Kristin seems to be enjoying her return to reality TV, comparing it (or contrasting it)to her new found love, acting. And despite what people may think, Kristin says she won’t be acting on the show. That’s a groundbreaking, revolutionary idea, which we do not buy.
“It’s not [scripted],” she told MTV News about the longstanding rumors that the show is not as real as it seems. “Everyone’s going to have an opinion,” the “Van Wilder: Freshman Year” star added. “And everyone’s going to think what they want. You can’t really change that.”
Although we do not buy the authenticity Kristin’s selling, we do agree that the Hills acting is different than real acting. Kristin explains below:
“It’s definitely different,” she said. “I love being on set and being in a movie. I think it’s so much fun. And ‘The Hills’ or ‘Laguna Beach,’ it’s more like hanging out with people you know rather than acting and memorizing lines and stuff.”
“Van Wilder: Freshman Year” starring Kristin came out yesterday, July 14, on DVD.
What’s most interesting about these interview clips is that Krisitn seems so annoyed (and isn’t able to hide it) by the interviewer’s questions. Granted, many of them are ill-advised (like asking her if she has her sights on a married Spencer) and redundant (like what her role on the show will be).
