“Hills” Stars Make the Best and Worst Dressed Reality TV Stars Lists
We bet you can guess the respective stars who made the “best dressed” and “worst dressed” list on Film.com. No real surprises here. Lauren and Whitney who both study fashion, intern in the business, and subsequently created their own clothing lines made the best dressed. Heidi, who had an unsuccessful clothing line, made the worst dressed. Here are the lists in their entirety:

Rachel Zoe
I have mixed opinions on Rachel Zoe and her “buzzwords,” but you can not fault the woman for her styling skill. After some hideous rumors spread about her pushing unhealthy habits onto her female clients, she signed on to The Rachel Zoe Project to set the record straight. With her documented love of Birkin bags, huge buggy sunglasses and layers upon layers of accessories, Zoe always “shuts it down.” Let’s be honest, you’d hire her if you could afford her services.
Lauren Conrad
Ms. Lauren Conrad makes the perfect damsel in distress, wronged by friends and frenemies alike. Her patented California cool, her penchant for Chanel accessories, and her ability to start a side braid trend are just a few of the quite obvious reasons she tops this list. Having been rewarded for her style with a few attempts at a fashion line (not as wonderful as we’d have hoped), I am not the first one to sing her praises. I think the reason she looks the best on the small screen is that she does not skimp — she wears prime designer labels from Catherine Malandrino to Marc Jacobs. Now that she’s done with The Hills, I guess I’ll be forced to look at celebrity rags to inspire myself from her style.Whitney Port
Okay, so Whitney Port might be the most boring character to get her own reality television show, like EVER, but the girl has fab style. Although, you’d hope anyone with a Teen Vogue internship under her belt who works for Diane von Furstenberg would have a decent sense of personal style. What The City lacks in drama and intrigue, it makes up for in outfits, GORGEOUS outfits. Sometimes a little wacky, but always high fashion, Whitney favors Robert Rodriguez and Philip Lim.
Heidi Klum
Tuning into Project Runway during Heidi Klum’s pregnancy was a always a little disappointing, because girlfriend would be working some sparkly minidress that you just know you would never look that good in … and you are not with child. Blessed with the title “The Body,” clothes just look right on Heidi Klum. My favorite part about her? When she’s pictured away from the red carpet, like playing with her kids, she’s got no make-up and comfy jeans on. Way to keep it real! She loves to wear clothes designed by her co-host Michael Kors, and she’s an avid supporter of breast cancer research.Christian Siriano
Keeping it simple during his reign on Project Runway, Christian Siriano dominated the skinny black pant, simple scarf and fitted vest combination, inspiring hipsters everywhere. His elegant, dramatic and always exciting designs are clearly inspired by avant garde designers Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. His collections are critically acclaimed as well as admired by the general public, which is darn hard to master!
Being on a list with up and coming fashion designers like Cristian Siriano who defeated a host of other talented designers, and a high fashion model, speaks volumes for Lauren and Whitney. And although Lauren’s clothing line is a little plain, she takes risk in her own style. And although Whitney’s outfits are at times bizarre, she actually has a pretty refined wearable clothing line. Perhaps Lauren and Whitney should collaborate!
Worst Dressed Reality TV Stars
Tiffany Pollard
Tiffany “New York” Pollard emerged on the reality TV scene as the competitive love interest of Flavor Flav on Flavor of Love. As Flav preferred a woman with more booty than she arrived with, she gained weight purposefully to please her man. As her figure got more voluptuous, her clothes got smaller and smaller. She didn’t win Flav’s heart, but her choice of short, cleavage-bearing outfits still made her a winner, in that she was rewarded with her own spin-offs: I Love New York, New York Goes to Hollywood, and New York Goes to Work. That would make us the losers.
Heidi Montag
Heidi Montag is the infamous former best friend to Lauren Conrad, and she married the most evil of all reality TV villains, Spencer Pratt. As her fame grew, ahem, so did her cup size. At which point, one could assume, to get the most of her investment, she showed those puppies off with enthusiasm and regularity. This, coupled with the fact that she dropped out of fashion school, explains how she ended up on this list.
Brooke Hogan
Brooke Hogan, I can safely say, that you do not know best. As the daughter of the man who brought bright yellow fan-gear and a blond Fu Manchu mustache to the public, you really never had a chance. Much like your mom, your signature color is orange, or more specifically a salmon-orange, which you choose to coat yourself in via fake bake. It doesn’t look good, but neither do your barely-there performance outfits.
Holly Madison
Holly Madison, I just charged you with your first fashion felony, but you were always destined to make this list. If you ever wanted a look at the latest Playboy catalog merchandise, you could just watch some Girls Next Door episodes and look at Holly. I know you’re proud of this elite sorority, Holly, but nothing says unfashionable quite like that bunny logo. Once we factored in your penchant for sparkles and shiny fabrics, there was no chance we could overlook you for this worst-dressed accolade.
Bret Michaels
No one’s really sure why or how you swung getting your own reality show, Rock of Love with Bret Michaels. My guess is that some VH1 reality exec looked deep into your bandana-covered forehead, past your glorious weave, and saw something in you, Bret Michaels, and that something was ratings — and girls willing to get hammered and make serious drama to join you on a tour bus. You never met a sleeveless shirt you didn’t like, and sometimes you seem to think that a vest and a pair of torn jeans is all you really need. I salute you here, Bret Michaels, for your complete lack of fashion sense.
Most of the people on this list are just as laughable as their fashion choices. The women also share quite similar fashion faux pas. New York, Heidi Montag, Brooke Hogan, and Holly Madison all seem to think less is always more. They tend to favor skimpy clothes for fashionable or cute clothes. Not saying showing skin is always bad, but always showing all your skin, probably is. As for Bret Michaels, he’d probably subscribe to the same style sense if he were a woman.
On the bright side, Heidi may have the best of the worst fashion sense.
