From Coast to Coast! The news stirred, not shaken.
It is obvious what the publishers are hoping to do with this book. They are hoping the name Lauren Conrad which is so conveniently plastered over almost the entire book, will entice young readers to buy it. The title and description of the book appear to be much less important. But hey, we know Lauren is very marketable.
Lauren‘s debut book is centered on a 19 year old girl named Jane Roberts who has obvious similarities to Lauren herself. Lauren originally said the book would be loosely based on her life, so it will be interesting to how fiction intersects with reality in this book. Is it also possible that we can learn something new about the person who until recently has been so open with us about her life? We’ll have to wait and see.
“Roberts can’t wait to start living it up,” the official book synopsis says. “She may be in L.A. for an internship, but Jane plans to play as hard as she works and has enlisted her BFF Scarlett to join in the fun.”
Sounds like Lauren begging the producers to let then BFF Heidi Montag onto the show and into her world. More similarities arise when “the two main characters are approached by a producer who wants them to be on a reality version of Sexy and the City.” The synopsis continues explaining that the book tells “what it’s like to come of age in Hollywood while starring in a reality TV show, written by a girl who has experienced it all firsthand.”
