Lauren Conrad’s Family Effected By Economy?

The Conrad’s beautiful home, designed by Lauren’s dad Jim Conrad, is on the market for $13,900,000. But the 6 bedroom, 7 bathroom home setting on the Pacific Ocean, was originally priced at nearly $20,000,000. Mr. Conrad is one of the premiere architects in the state of California, and this project has a sprawling 8,000 square feet. Many people are asking if the reason for the family’s move is the economy. But when father and daughter are millionaires, it seems unfathomable. But the reason for the decline in price has to be the economy.

You can see the rest of the house here.

I think the economy has hit us all…even the rich; his legend lives on since he’s the architect.

This whole artical is wrong. Laurens dads name is Jim, hes IS a Architect but is not notable for any extraordinary design work or awards, he has little design talent and didnt study at any prestigous schools. He just built several high end homes in the desert south west without any green or Solar features! How dunb is that! He made his money as a developer and has been sued several times in the process. As to the fire sale of his property ( approx. 10 Million with 11 Acres) , the land the house is on has a checkered title due to some creative land purchase agreements as well as his other properties tanking in value. All in all hes moved into a much cheaper fixer upper down the coast and will continue to profit as manager of his famous daughter Lauten Conrad no mater how bad he does on his own, he never had to do anything but throw up big junk properties and sell them to un educated buyers or friends as the property vaulues sky rocketed around them.
